...There are white-tailed does all over the Black Hills, the most commonly sighted of the deer...
...Why did the doe cross the road....? Yep, you guessed it...just checking...
...This is only the second buck I've seen this year, both were in Custer St. Park...they're safe from hunters in the park, so you'd think they'd be a bit less stand-offish...instinct must run deep...
We have seen quite a few does to..but no big bucks yet...we haven't seen any elk in a while either...we love to go 4-wheelin and look for all kinds of wildlife..nothing like being out in nature....
ReplyDeleteI saw a buck in the field Sunday morning, it was cold enough to see his breath...he just stood and stared a few minutes before going back into the woods. Got his photo though.
ReplyDeleteJann, the deer look like they feel they can trust you....They are beautiful....And those gigantic wasp nest...WOW!!!...
ReplyDeleteShe has got some ears;) The white tails aren't too far behind in that department either.
ReplyDeleteI met a deer last evening who seemed to want to become a hood ornament. Good thing I never drive fast on country roads.
