When Life Gives you Lemons...

...Or, when life gives you early Oct. snow, you just gotta lay down in it and relax. I visited Custer State Park yesterday, and this was the first gem of a sight I came upon. We had our 2nd snow Wed. night. Someone told me, before we moved to S Dakota, that we would have snow nine months out of the year. I thought that was absurd! Hey, it's only eight months out of the year...so far. Gulp. I haven't seen that snow in June that can happen, yet.

  3. Could be worse, I guess. When I lived in Wyoming we often got snow in June. Ah, but I was much younger then and didn't resent it so much.

Guess if you have really thick fur you just lay down and enjoy the coolness of it all!

  6. Those clouds and the snow make a great header!
In the photo above the snow looks somewhat like soap subs...light and billowy!

  7. Wow, getting pronghorns is really difficult. They are so skittish. Before I moved to Colorado I had a friend tell me that the winters are not that bad. He called it Baja Wyoming. We had snow today too. A light dusting on top of the fall colors.
